Welcome to the I Give An F1 Podcast! Join Allison and Lynnette as they recap the last race of the 2023 Formula 1 season! Abu Dhabi started with sparks as Carlos Sainz crashed into the wall in Practice and Max Verstappen made other drivers mad with his overtaking in the pit lane.Qualifying showed us that Charles Leclerc never gives up and he extracted the most out of his Ferrari and landing himself on the front row. Mclaren also looked promising with Norris and Piastri in the top 5.
The grid walk was a success minus one minor spat between Martin and a security guard and Allison and Lynnette reminisced on the beauty of the  fly over above Yas Marina Circuit. The race went off without a hitch and there was a build up happening for P2 and P7 in the constructors championship. In the end, Mercedes and Williams came out on top ahead of their rivals. All of this and more on this week's show. Sunday Nov 19, 2023

On this episode of IGAF1, Lynnette and Allison discuss their thoughts on Formula 1’s Las Vegas qualifying and race.
it was a clean qualifying but with a few surprises like the performance by Maclaren, Lewis Hamilton, and Checo Perez.
For the race on Sunday, It was a star studded race with celebrities like Rihanna, ASAP Rocky, Patrick Dempsey, Justin Bieber and many more, but the Sphere stile the show. The grid walk was painful once again to watch as Martin Brundle got snubbed by several before the race. The national anthem was sung by Donny Osmund, a Las Vegas icon.  The race started with drama, of course, with Max Verstappen cutting off Charles Leclerc on turn 1, while another group of drivers got tangled up behind them.  However, it only got more exciting from there. Lots of overtaking and several yellow flags made for an interesting race to say the least.

This episode of IGAF1, Lynnette and Allison cover the start of the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix!  They discuss all the events leading up to when the cars finally hit the track for their first practice sessions. The week started with the Netflix Cup which was a competition between drivers who were paired with famous PGA tour players. Carlos Sainz won that event, and like fellow f1 driver Lando Norris, broke the trophy.
Allison and Lynnette also cover the Las Vegas Grand Prix opening ceremony and give their thoughts on the 30 minute show and quick driver introduction. There were several famous musicians, a drone show, and plenty of driver opinions to cover.
Next, it’s time for FP1. After all they hype and excitement, it was over in a matter of minutes. Carlos Sainz and Esteban Ocon went over a water valve cover that caused major damage. It took out the entire floor of the Ferrari, costing the team a ton of money. The drama continued as FP2 was pushed back and held completed behind closed doors as the venue cleared out all fans and people were left scrambling to find somewhere else to watch the action.
All of this and more! Tune in to the IGAF1 podcast for all the fun before you catch FP3 and Qualifying.

Join Lynnette and Allison as they recap the Formula 1 Sao Paulo GP at the iconic Interlagos circuit in Brazil. Max Verstappen gave us his thoughts on the sprint weekend format but, it was another eventful sprint race weekend that started with the FIA cracking down on Pit Lane impeding. Several drivers slipped up and got penalized during Friday’s qualifying. Then, Ocon and Alonso got into a scuffle on and off track during the Sprint Shootout. Q3 was cut short due to inclement weather conditions and drivers were only able to get one fast lap in.
Race day started with an awkward encounter between Martin Brundle and Machine Gun Kelly and Charles Leclerc was out before the race even started. A red flag was brought out just after the start due to a crash between Alex Albon and a HAAS.
There were 6 DNFs in total which included Charles Leclerc, Zhou Gyanyu, Valterri Bottas, George Russell, Alex Albon and Kevin Magnussen. The finale was great as we saw Fernando Alonso and Sergio Perez go head to head on the last few laps, giving us a photo finish for 3rd.

Tuesday Oct 31, 2023

In this week's episode, Allison and Lynnette recap the Formula 1 Mexico City Grand Prix!
Saturday's qualifying got started with a little bit of chaos in the pitlane towards the end of Q1 as drivers took their time getting out of the pitlane to take their final flying laps. They were then met with the Aston Martin of Fernando Alonso facing the opposite direction and causing a yellow flag. This would lead to a hand full of drivers being investigated! Q3 had a few surprises including a Ferrari front row lock out, and Daniel Riccardo out qualifying Sergio Perez in his Alpha Tauri.
They touch on all the surprisingly good race that happened on Sunday despite Sergio Perez being out by the first turn. Tire management was key on Sunday and the Mercedes and Mclaren's took advantage of those medium tires after the res flag.
You guys had lot's to say during the pitcrew segment, and they discuss all your thoughts in comments, as well as go over the current standings in the championship.

Tuesday Oct 24, 2023

This week on the I Give An F1 podcast, Allison and Lynnette cover all of the events they went to leading up to the weekend.
Wednesday was a blast covering the Kraken x Williams Fan Zone in downtown Austin, where they got to meet Logan Sargeant and listen in on a Q&A session with Alex Albon. Later that afternoon they headed to the Circiut of the Americas track for a food and beverage preview featuring some of Austin's great BBQ, and chefs. Thursday, it was time to head to a crowded, but exciting, Pit Lane Walk and then Allison and Lynnette split-up to cover two evening events. One with Aston Martin, and the other being a live podcast recording hosted by Lawrence Barretto.
It was the first sprint race held at the USGP, so all the action started on Friday with Charles Leclerc taking pole position for Sunday's race. The race was a doozy and brought much excitement per usual, as well as late disqualifications of Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc due to what the FIA considered an illegal car. That also meant that Logan Sargeant, Formula 1's only American driver scored his first points in F1.
Mercedes, Ferrari, McLaren, and Aston Martin all had similar pace this weekend meaning we are in for some good fights as we near the end of the seasons.
The coverage after the race focused on a lot of booing on the podium, and
Lynnette and Allison also cover the latest news including ASAP Rocky and Puma collab, the NFL takeover of Alpine, and the maximum fine for the drivers being raised to 1 million dollars.
All of this and more on this weeks episode.

Monday Oct 09, 2023

Join Lynnette and Allison as they discuss the very eventful Formula 1 Qatar GP.
It was another sprint weekend and the drivers were met with kerb and track limit issues. Pirelli and the FIA eventually had to step in to ensure the safety of the drivers, although there were still many issues left!
The sprint shootout and sprint race brought some excitement to the weekend as Mclaren and Mercedes brought the challenge to Redbull. Oscar Piastri won his first race in F1 on Saturday during the sprint race, and Max Verstappen become the 2023 Formula 1 world champion on that same day.
On qualifying day, Lance Stroll brought the drama as his frustrations with his performance reaches an all new high!  And this was just on Friday as the weekend got started! On Sunday, changes were made and a mandatory 3 pitstop were added for safety, but the heat in Qatar was just too much for some of the drivers. Logan Sargeant had to take himself out of the race due to illness. Esteban Ocon and multiple other drivers also fell ill due to the intense heat.  Fans came away asking themselves if the Qatar GP was safe to drive for the drivers and if it should even be on the formula 1 calendar.
They'll discuss all this as well as all your thoughts and comments on the Qatar Grand Prix on this weeks episode!
